Dr. Paul Cooper Jr. is a graduate of William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Student Doctor Cooper possesses extensive medical informatics and EMS expertise and is recognized as Co-Investigator for Project HiRO. He is also internationally recognized for research on the use of Twitter and other big data technologies for their application to disaster situations. Originally from the Suburbs of Chicago, Paul obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Printing and Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2004. He has been a Paramedic for nearly 10 years, with most of his time spent at Grady in Atlanta. He has experience in Critical Care Transport, Fixed Wing Flight, and as an American Heart Association Training Center Faculty. Returning to school he obtained his Master of Science in Bioinformatics from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2011.
